Merry Meet Folks,
I don't mean to make light of it........but she would laugh. I just got news of another friend who 'died from this disease'........literally. Her funeral is this Friday, I don't know if I'll make it on such short notice, but I've already said a prayer asking The Goddess to gentle her through the Death process, and I will remember her at Samhain. She had been a Sober Pagan.........she relapsed recently.
It's no joke folks, this disease ( the disease of addiction) can be fatal.
Even though I'm by no means glad that this happened to Nicole ( she liked to be called ' Ni  cool')- to give her passing meaning ( at least to me, and helps with the greiving)- Nicole's passing reminds me just how serious addiction is, and how precious Sobriety is ( even though it's not always fun). I'm reminded just how VERY self destructive I/We am/are when in active addiction.
Nicole was a fun, great, chubby, clever, redhead with lots of tatoos.......she always wore the greatest chunky platform shoes.......and when I was new she taught me SO much.......I didn't even know there were Pagans in the rooms or Pagan Steps, etc  until I met 'Ni cool'.........I could go on and on.
She will be missed.
Love to all,
Blessed Be,

I am so sorry to hear that...

I recently found out who my birth mother was...and that she died of liver disease from her alcoholism.

This is life or death stuff.

warm hugs

It's true what it says in the Big Book about "jail, institution or death". :-( Hope you're OK.
